Achieving the goal of affordable renewable diesel.

Kara Technologies process efficiently converts organic agricultural waste into a low-cost renewable fuel.

Kara Technologies goal is to produceĀ  a renewable fuel with the lowest possible carbon footprint. Currently the Kara process reduces greenhouse gas emissions by up to 80% compared to petro diesel.

Kara produced renewable fuel can be profitably priced at current petroleum fuel prices.

Disrupting Global Reliance on Petroleum-Based Diesel

The world is changing, and so is the way we need to think about energy. By offering a clean, locally produced affordable renewable fuel, countries can shift towards clean energy independence and sustainability. Our innovative process not only reduces greenhouse gas emissions by up to 80%, but it also provides a green alternative that can be produced from agricultural waste, fostering local economies and reducing dependence on foreign oil.

Our Story

Our mission at Kara Technologies is to solve two major global challenges: reducing greenhouse gas emissions and providing a sustainable affordable alternative to fossil fuels. By converting organic solid waste into renewable fuel, we aim to create a carbon-neutral cycle that can power industries without the environmental cost.

Our team has developed an upgrading process that reduces CO2 emissions by 80% compared to traditional petroleum fuels. This process leverages machine learning models for precise control over bio-oil production and significantly reduces costs, making renewable fuel an affordable solution for the future.

Our Process

Feedstock

This process utilizes a wide range of organic solid waste, such as corn husks, sugar cane, rice straw, and wood as the primary input for our process.

Biomass Converstion

The biomass is converted into bio-oil through a proprietary fast pyrolysis process and performs under lower temperature and pressure conditions relative to conventional processes. This lowers production costs while reducing emissions.

Our process is highly efficient in converting biomass to renewable fuel. On a tonnage basis, we can convert approximately 30% to 40% of the dry feedstock into renewable fuel. This high conversion rate not only ensures that more of the biomass is utilized effectively but also contributes to the overall cost-effectiveness and environmental sustainability of our process.

Proprietary Upgrading

The proprietary Kara upgrading process converts bio-oil into a high-cetane renewable fuel using a low-cost fixed-bed catalytic reactor.
